Success in obtaining highly accurate genome sequence information

Using the latest DNA analysis technology, we have determined highly accurate genome sequence information on “red perilla,” one of the familiar foods that adorn our dining tables, covering approximately 99% of the entire genome (approximately 1.26 billion base pairs) in a huge chromosome-level sequence.
Furthermore, using the newly developed “Fanflow4Plants” workflow for predicting plant gene function, we have predicted the function of 72,983 genes, which corresponds to about 95% of the 76,825 genes encoding proteins.

Highly accurate genome sequence information important for breeding

By comparing genome sequences and expressed genes under various conditions and among varieties, varieties with desired characteristics can be efficiently selected.

To achieve this, it is essential to first obtain highly accurate genome sequence information.

PtBio has abundant experience from sample extraction to genome analysis, and will realize genome analysis of various organisms.
